Membership
The cost of membership
for one year is £17.50 per individual or a family membership
for £25.00. The subscription covers the calendar year,
so for those joining after 1st July the rates are reduced
by 50%.
Membership entitles
you...
- to receive The Oxford Scribe Newsletter
three times a year
- to attend the monthly Friday meetings
- to book places on workshops
- to participate in visits and other activities
- to exhibit work in the exhibitions
Meetings are held at
Exeter Hall, Kidlington, usually on the second Friday of the
month.

Workshops
Workshops are held on the second Saturday
of most months, usually at Stanton St John, which has an excellent
village hall with good facilities and easy parking. The workshops
cover a great variety of subjects and techniques and are taught
by recognized professionals both from within the society and
from the wider calligraphy community.
The cost is £17.50 per day and attendance
is normally restricted to Oxford Scribes’ members. An
application form for each workshop is sent out to members
well in advance and only applications made on this form can
be accepted.

our Secretary, who will endeavour to respond as soon as
possible! She will also respond to enquiries about commissions.
If you see a piece of work in the Gallery
that you would like to purchase (if it's for sale), please
email the Secretary. We can then put you in touch with
the calligrapher who produced the work.
