Featured Calligrapher, Lin Kerr

Lin Kerr uses her lettering as part of the artwork she creates, often designing letters specially for the piece. Her favourite medium is watercolour (with an occasional foray into print-making) and she has recently illustrated a book Rope of Words, by Megan Kerr, about a woman and her lover who collected words. The woman lost both and spends the rest of the story looking for her lost words. www.ropeofwords.com

Lin is a Fellow of CLAS and a Full member of Letter Exchange. She has taught and exhibited internationally, gaining an award in Bruges in the international “Groteprijs” competition 2004 (tie second place with Yves Leterme) and more recently had work accepted for Letter Arts Review Annual Juried edition for 3 consecutive years including 2014.

She runs an almost-daily blog to inspire fellow calligraphers at www.limetreesstudio.com and teaches short art-based courses for calligraphy societies throughout the UK and abroad.
